Feedback
from our Clients
(participants enrolled in program for rehabilitative
purposes)
Over the past ten years, I have referred many patients to
the H2O~FIT program. They've reported significant improvements
in their day-to-day functionality and independence, and have
appreciated the support and encouragement of the class instructors
and participants. The physical benefits are obviously important,
but the positive impact from this type of group interaction
are also key to a patient's health and well-being.

When I first joined
Suzanne's H2O~FIT program in May of
1994, I was unable to rotate either of my shoulders. After
working out in the pool for about six months, one shoulder
loosened and then a year later the other shoulder loosened,
so that I could stretch my hands behind my back. I also have
had general improvement in all of my muscles and far less
pain overall. Another result has been that my sleep has improved
enormously. I do still have fibromyalgia and I am not cured,
but life is a lot more bearable. I do not take other drugs
for my fibromyalgia other than herbal supplements and vitamins
- I know that aquafit classes are my best medicine.

I have been in the H2O~FIT program since
September 1994. The main benefits from this type of exercise
are the warm water, full range movements and stretching exercises
which help to relieve my muscle spasms. The instructors guide
me to go at my own pace which helps me to relax and do only
what I can during the class. Of all the doctors I have seen,
which has been many, they have all said to continue with my
aquafitness classes (and massage therapy as well, but this
can become quite expensive).

I have had Rheumatoid Arthritis for twenty years and my doctor
suggested that I enroll in the H2O~FIT
program to increase my mobility and strength. Not only have
I increased my mobility and strength, I have lost several
pounds and increased my stamina and muscle tone as well. It's
a great program and it's also a lot of fun.

Aquafit classes keep all my muscles loosened up so that I
rarely need to go to a chiropractor. The classes help me keep
up my strength, give me energy and with Suzanne's bubbly personality,
help me to have a more positive attitude while trying to cope
with my pain.

I have had fibromyalgia for many years. When I began doing
aquafitness, my fibromyalgia was quite severe. I was in constant
pain and had very low energy. These classes helped reduce
muscle pain and stiffness, increased my strength, and helped
regulate both my sleep and energy. I have now almost completely
recovered and continue to take Suzanne's classes once a week
for fitness and for the fun of it. I love it and would highly
recommend it to anyone.

I have been taking aquafit classes with Suzanne and her instructors
for seven years now. When I started the classes, it was six
months after an automobile accident which left me with post-traumatic
fibromyalgia. I had difficulty keeping up at first and I was
stiff and in a lot of pain, but I knew the pain of not exercising
was even worse. Over time, I evolved from the daytime classes
which were slower and easier to the night classes which were
more demanding. It is an extremely good overall workout for
anyone, but especially for people with FMS. I find it keeps
my muscles from stiffening up, and the aerobic and breathing
portions of the class are very beneficial. Of course, exercising
also increases the endorphins, so you just feel better! Now
after many years of aquafitness, I am much more flexible and
my pain has decreased.
