Class Description--Diaper-Fit
This unique swim class for parents and tots (5-17 months) is a great combination of fitness and fun for everyone. Each 55 minute class includes a 25 minute aquafit workout for parents, followed by a 25 minute activity/swim component for the tots. Most importantly, our pools are warm for the children.

During the first half of our class, parents enjoy a challenging aquafit workout while their children sit alongside in flotation seats, allowing them to kick their legs, splash with their hands and remain in contact with their parents at all times.

During the second half of our class, children will enjoy active sing-songs with a variety of toys (puppets, balls, water cups, hula-hoops, splash pads, slide, etc.), and also learn basic swimming skills such as ear-dipping, face-wetting, flutterkicking, the back float, and progessive stages towards submersion.

Note: Only one parent may participate in the class with each child - parents may alternate weekly or one can participate in the first half (aquafit workout with child in boat) and another can participate in the second half (swimming portion with child).

Class Description--Toddler-Fit
This fifty-minute class is for parents and tots (18-36 months). Activities take place in the shallow end of the pool and further develop the basic swimming skills learned in Diaper-Fit (the diaper-fit class is not a pre-requisite to participate in the toddler-fit program). A variety of different games and swim activites are accompanied by all-new songs and water toys. Children will increase their comfort level in the water and be ready for progression to Red Cross swimming lessons.

Note: Only one parent may participate in the class with each child - parents may alternate weekly.

*Important Announcement to Diaper-Fit and Toddler-Fit Parents*
All infants must wear a diaper swimsuit ... a regular diaper is not worn underneath
Disposable pull-ups (Little Swimmers) are not permitted in the pool (due to previous "accidents" in the pool).

For every class, your child's suit MUST fit tightly around upper thighs and waist (to prevent leakage).

H2O-FIT recommends the Kushies brand because we have found these suits to be the best fit for all babies (we do not recommend the Bummies or Gaby brands because the design of the elastic around the thighs is not tight enough).
H2O-FIT sells Kushies suits for $15.00 (incl. hst) ... contact h2ofit@rogers.com to place your order.
